Diva Taunia is an award-winning professional vocalist, Radio Host, Burlesque Musical Director and Choreographer, and Voice Teacher.

Heralded by jazz greats Herb Pomeroy and Terrance Blanchard as a “powerful vocalist with a warm, rich sound,” she’s been performing in the New England area for over twenty years.

She’s been featured on NH Chronicle Television, The Boston Globe, on various radio programs, and her music has been showcased around the world.

On March 25, 2008, she decided to have RNY Gastric Bypass Surgery at Boston Medical Center with Dr. Donald Hess. She has since maintained a loss of over 140 lbs, and has worked to help educate and inform people about the life-changing difference weight loss surgery can make for someone suffering with morbid obesity. She chronicled her entire weight loss journey on her YouTube Channel, and dedicates her weekly radio program to weight loss surgery and bariatric related topics and information.

Diva Taunia has also been an active music educator with over twenty years teaching experience in both the public and private sector, and she also works and performs with an educational rap company called Rhythm, Rhyme, Results, based out of Cambridge, MA.
